Mother-on-the-verge-of-executionA young mother of six, is on the verge of execution in Iran.
The young woman, married at the age of 15, had been arrested along with her month-old infant on the road to Sistan & Baluchistan Province in south-eastern Iran and transferred to a prison in Mashhad on the charge of carrying narcotics.

According to human rights activists in Iran Mahdieh golroo, an active member of The Right to Education Council and Student Activist was sentenced to 2 years and 4 months of imprisonment. According to the report Golru’s court session was held on Sunday, April 4th, 2010, in Revolutionary Court Branch 26 by Judge Pirabbassi. Mahdieh had to personally defend her rights in court since her lawyer was not permitted to appear in the court.

Dorsa SobhaniWomen's rights activists Dorsa Sobhani, a member of the One-Million Signature Campaign (advocating change in the constitution) who is also active in fighting for the right to education was arrested on Sunday in her father's home by 12 intelligence agents. Sobhani, who was banned from education for following the Baha'i faith, was taken to unknown location.
