70 political prisoners launch hunger strike in OroumiehICFTO - More than seventy political prisoners in Oroumieh prison have launched a hunger strike in protest to the restrictions and pressures implemented by the regime’s agents, including a ban on family visits.

Following the execution of Hossein Khezri earlier this year in Oroumieh, political prisoners in the prison have come under increasing pressure, repeatedly being transferred to solitary confinement, placed under torture and subjected to interrogations.
