Iran’s mullahs have destroyed the country’s economy and brought nothing but poverty and increasing unemployment. Currently young men and women graduating college with high degrees are forced to even resort to carry heavy loads.
Art students in Tehran University staged a rally on June 9th protesting the fact that their college was being placed under the control of private investors.
In the past few months students have time and again protested and rallied against this move.

A young mother of six, is on the verge of execution in Iran.
The young woman, married at the age of 15, had been arrested along with her month-old infant on the road to Sistan & Baluchistan Province in south-eastern Iran and transferred to a prison in Mashhad on the charge of carrying narcotics.
Prisoner of conscience, Maryam Akbari Monfared, issued a letter from Evin prison encouraging people to boycott the upcoming presidential election in Iran.
“The people’s vote has no credibility in the Islamic regime and holding sham elections is only aimed at legitimizing the regime. Whoever comes to power enjoys Khamenei’s approval and is not elected by the people”, she wrote.
The human rights activist Atena Daemi, on hunger strike since 7th April in Evin Prison, is suffering from numerous health problems and is in critical condition. Atena’s mother, who visited her on Sunday April 23, maintained that “the regime’s Revolutionary Guards, judiciary, and Prosecutor-General are responsible for Atena’s life.”
Iran’s famous Lake Urmia in north-western province of Azarbaijan is dying due to mismanagement of water resources in Iran and lack of funding for revival projects. An official of the lake's revival project has warned that unless enough resources are allocated to these projects the chances for revival are lost and a lot of people in the province will suffer the grave consequences of such failure.
Six human rights organisations that work as consultants with the United Nations Human Rights Council have submitted a joint written statement to the current session of UNHRC about the 1988 massacre of political prisoners in Iran and the need for the international community to hold the perpetrators to account.
In the summer of 1988, the Iranian regime executed tens of thousands of political prisoners held in jails across Iran without due process of law. The massacre was carried out on the basis of a fatwa by the regime’s then-Supreme Leader Ruhollah Khomeini.
