Iran: workers in Ahwaz and Gheshm Island stage strikesICFTO-Four hundred metro municipality workers in Ahwaz, southwestern Iran, are continuing their strike in protest to 7 months of delayed wages. These workers have been on strike since August 27th.

Based on a report on the state-run Tabnak website, large amounts of trash have piled up in various areas in Gheshm Island – located near the Strait of Hormuz - due to municipality workers being on strike.
