Seven political prisoners in Evin prison of Tehran, Rajai Shahr prison in Karaj and central prison of Tabriz have gone on hunger strike. Their condition is reported critical.
Iranian Revolutionary Guard officials have pressured British-Iranian charity worker Nazanin Zaghari Ratcliffe, a prisoner of conscience, to choose between moving her two year-old daughter into prison with her for up to three days a week or sign a document to say that she does not want the “right to be with her young daughter”.
Amnesty International in Italy issued a statement saying the Iraqi government must respect the rights of Ashraf residents.
ICFTO— Last Sunday May 01, agents of the Ministry of Intelligence (MOI) savagely raided the home of Mahmud Azimi, a political prisoner of the 1980s, father of two Ashraf residents, and uncle of heroic Mojahedin member Nastaran Azimi who was killed during the attack by Nouri al-Maliki’s criminal forces; he was arrested and taken to the horrific section 209 of Evin prison.
ICFTO- On Wednesday April 27, Iranian Ministry of Intelligence (MOI) dispatched a number of its agents from Iran to Camp Ashraf’s entrance in order to intensify psychological torture of Mojahedin members at Ashraf and to set the stage for further suppressive actions.
