Ms. Yadollahi was hit with a heavy object on the head suffering impairment of her senses of smell, sight and hearing. She has been suffering the pain and side effects caused by such injury for five months while in detention.
On 25 July, 2018, an Iranian court convicted and sentenced Mohammad Sani, a teacher in the city of Bushehr, to 2years behind bars and 74 lashes allegedly in relation to his nonviolent participation in teacher’s protests during 2015.
Zanian Ahmadi Niaz a students from the Azad University of Tehran has reportedly been sentenced to eight years in prison by the Tehran’s Revolutionary Court, in connection with his participation in widespread protests that started in December 2017.
The student was charged with participation in unlawful assemblies and acting against national security. He was arrested in December 2017, but he was temporarily released on bail until the court date.
Iranian authorities have increased their crackdown on students who were detained Iran’s December 2017/January 2018 protests with prison terms and restrictions on their peaceful activities.
The state security forces raided the home of Iranian Pastor Youcef Nadarkhani Sunday morning, where he was arrested and taken to the Branch 2 of the Revolutionary court of Rasht, northern Iran.
Youcef Nadarkhani had been sentenced to prison and internal exile however no official summons has been issued for him.
A source close to Nadarkhani’s family said, “Plain cloth agents went to Mr. Nadarkhani’s home and attempted to break down the door to enter the home. When Nadarkhani’s son opened the door, the state forces threw him to the ground using electric shocker. Then they beate Mr. Nadarkhani with electrick shocker and arrested him before his wife and child. In response to his family’s inquiry, they were told that Mr. Nadarkhani is scheduled to be transferred to Tehran’s Evin Prison.”
